The Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes
to this wonderful place.
There are green meadows and grassy hills for all of our special
contacts so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and there our friends are warm
and comfortable. All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who are hurt or maimed
are made whole and strong again just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they
miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. The animals all run and play together, but the day comes when
one of them suddenly stops and looks longingly into the distance. His bright eyes are intent and his eager body quivers. He
begins to break away from the group as his legs carrying him faster and faster as if he is flying over the soft, green grass.
Your pet has spotted you. And when you and your pet finally meet again, you cling together in joyous reunion as his happy
kisses rains upon your face, and your hand caresses his head. And you look once more into your pet’s trusting and loving
eyes that have been so long gone from your eyes, but never from your heart.
Than together you will cross the Rainbow Bridge, and never be separated again.
